NAAME organised World Environment Day 2012 at Kisama with the rest of the world on 5th june 2012. Shri Lokeswara Rao Addl. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Nagaland Grace the occassion . The Programme includ Plantation on 4th, 5th formal programme and ceremonial plantation and trekking to Dzukou Valley and return on 6th June 2012. All together 84 persons from diferent district of Nagaland participated in plantation as well as trekking. Among others, Shri. Sidramapa MC IFS, Hemant Kamdi, IFS, Shri. Velatso ACF, Shri. Dzukou derives its meaning from the Angami word which translates to "Cold Water" referring to the ice cold stream that flows through the valley.Dzukou Valley is situated at an altitude of 2438 m above sea level, behind the Japfu Peak.
